5 Days Tanzania Wildebeest Migration Calving Safari – Ndutu & Southern Serengeti

Experience an exciting 5-day private mid-range safari through some of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations, combining the elephant-rich landscapes of Tarangire National Park with the spectacular calving-season plains of Ndutu, the wildlife-rich Serengeti National Park, and the extraordinary Ngorongoro Crater. Designed for travellers with limited time who still want to experience the Great Migration, this journey brings together diverse landscapes, rewarding game drives, and some of northern Tanzania’s most memorable wildlife experiences.

Large herds, newborn calves, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas can create dramatic wildlife encounters. The journey concludes with a morning descent into the Ngorongoro Crater before the return to Arusha, giving you a compact but richly varied Northern Circuit safari experience.

As the landscape changes from highland forests and rolling terrain to open grasslands, the scenery becomes increasingly characteristic of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. On arrival in Ndutu, enjoy an extended game drive with a convenient picnic lunch stop. Ndutu forms an important part of the annual migration route, where wildebeest, zebras, antelope, and gazelles gather during the calving season.
